Nappies

Nappies are something that you will probably try a few types before actually deciding which one is right for your baby. These days there are so many different types of nappies on the market to choose from disposable nappies to re-usable nappies it can be a little bit of a mindfield as to where to start. You may have had some of your friends tell you which nappies they found were best for their babies but this doesn't mean that they will be right for your baby. Hopefully here at The World Of Babies we can help you to find the best nappies to suit you and your babies need, so feel free to brows through our nappy section as we have a full range of over 200 nappy related items for you to choose from.

Below The World Of Babies have provided you with some information on Re-usable nappies Versus Disposable Nappies

Reusable Terry Towelling Nappies

These come as foldable, traditional terry towelling squares, which you then pin or clip to hold them on, or else pre-shaped nappies, which usually use built-in fastenings so there's no need for folding or pinning.

Gone are the days when Terry Towelling Nappies were just white, they now come in a variety of colours and shapes for you to choose from

The pre-shaped ones tend to take longer to dry after washing, whereas the Terry Nappies unfold and dry quite quickly. Your baby may need to wear waterproof pants over the nappy to stop leakage through to his clothes.

The initial outlay can seem expensive, but this is considerably less than the cumulative cost of disposables over two-and-a-half years.

It's also kinder to the environment to opt for reusable - even when you factor in the washing. Once you've bought them, they can do for more than one child, and not having to buy nappies makes a real difference to the bulk of your weekly shop.

Disposable Nappies

There are several brands, Nature Babycare Nappies being one that are constantly being redeveloped, to convince parents that this year's nappy is even better than last year's in terms of fit and absorbency. They're convenient, as there's no washing and drying.

Most parents use disposables because of this convenience factor, and parents who use reusable nappies most of the time may use disposables when away from home.

Some parents opt for reusables during the day and disposables at night.
